The Julia L. Butterfield Memorial Library is creating a Reading Garden for it’s Patrons. We envision the Reading Garden to be a pleasant area where users can enjoy nature and reading simultaneously.
The area will be beautifully landscaped and have seating to accommodate individual readers and small groups. A table and benches will facilitate lunch or a quick coffee break in this charming setting.
A brick wall and delightful gardens will surround the Reading Garden giving it an enclosed atmosphere. A walkway and central patio area constructed of bluestone will add to the aesthetics of this beautiful space.
The Reading Garden is possible thanks to the generous support of the community, donations from our supporters and through fundraising. However additional partners and individual donors are needed to make this vision a reality.
